Oracle has announced that the Reuters press release about pricing pressure was just one of the standard clauses they use in every quarterly report: biz.yahoo.com However, this does not diminish the fact that MSFT SQL Server is leading people to expect lower prices. I see the "sticker shock" reaction from people every time they hear what ObjectStore costs. It would be wrong to believe that this is not a very tricky problem for the ODIS marketing team to deal with. (And I bet it's a problem for Oracle too).
