I read your profile, because I couldn't imagine what sort of person
would post such a reasoned reply. If you are actually tenured at
UCLA I hope that your classroom presentations are more polished
than your email. Do you actually know anything about the enterprise
software sector, or do you just do what the "smart money" does? Are
these the "smart people" that can't beat the DJI consistently?
How is it that these "smart people" get their information? Is it
through the industry analysts that about half the time don't know
any more about the industry than the reporters that cover it?

Did you get your PhD in English before or after the one in Economics?
I've never seen the construction "flush your profits" before, so I
am wondering where you got your English degree...

Puff Daddy,
The arrogance that you claim to see in others is what will bring you down. NOBODY can speak about the market with the certainty that you demonstrate consistently. And please, we can do without your unwarranted anger first thing in the morning. It's a great game and a lot of us are trying to have some fun here on SI. But I am grateful that I am not one of your students.
Regards,

As SAP and PSFT report their problems, ORCL continues to move ahead, and prove its leading position. That is strength in a troubled market....I WASN'T referring to the stock market, moron.
As for the 60 PE, that was a comparison. If you read my post, I pointed out that IF ORCL got the same PE as those two, then it should be at 60. However, their growth is only 30%, versus 40-50% for the other 2. As such, a PE of 40 is more realistic.
As for me not knowing JACK...I would say that you just enjoy popping up here and there and taking potshots at people, regardless of their views. I happen to do quite well with my stock holdings, and this is one of 3 stocks that are underperforming for me. The others are all outperforming. All in all, I'm well ahead. Are you?

Oh, I forgot to mention...yours was the most idiotic post I've read in recent memory. It showed an inability to put comments in context, a lack of original thought and a poor sense of sarcasm. Furthermore, it was written below an 8th grade reading level, and showed signs of paranoid schizophrenia.
