Alcatel Selects TTI Telecom to Supply Embratel of Brazil with a
SS7 Network Surveillance System

PETAH TIKVA, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 1998--TTI Telecom (NASDAQ:TTILF)
("TTI") together with its Brazilian representative, Construtel Projetos e Construcoes Ltda, announced today that they have been awarded a contract by ALCATEL TELECOMUNICACOES S/A to provide the Netrac based SS7 Network Management System (NMS) to the Brazilian long distance network operator, Embratel. This win further strengthens TTI Telecom's positioning as a leading supplier of NMS solutions in the Brazilian market.
TTI Telecom's sophisticated SS7 Network Management system integrated with General Signal Networks ("GSN") real-time probes, will provide Embratel with a comprehensive SS7 management system that will monitor their entire network in real time and facilitate early detection of network irregularities, SS7 analysis, call tracing, and other highly advanced features. This NWV7 system, which has been installed by TTI Telecom and GSN worldwide, will further enhance Embratel's signaling network, and provide support for future network expansions.
