So what?
What's the problem with selling 4,000,000 shares when you hold 196,000,000 of them????

this is a classic example of too much information in the wrong hands. Hell, now you can go to Yahoo and see what insiders are doing. For DELL longs/intelligent investors I wont beat a dead horse explaining how irrelevant Michaels unloading really is but God its annoying seeing these posts...

sell your shares brian.. or better yet, increase your short..

I would suggest you check out the numerous posts on this very subject before you make your first post. We even have a spam "service" that posts this information as soon as it is made available so we are well aware of this, thank you.

I cannot understand what all this fuss is about MD selling his shares. In fact, I would be worried if he *didn't* sell small amounts periodically, as that is not the sign of a savvy businessman. Selling 2% of one's holdings from time to time is *NOT* a lot of shares to sell, especially when that pool probably gets replenished every year with grants of additional options.

Where have you been hibernating. This is part of his long-going portfolio balancing and represents a mere 2% of his Dell holdings...nothing unreasonable to get excited about. With options continuing to accumulate, it is not unreasonable for MD to want to diversify such small percentages.
