Thanks for the response! I appreciate what you are saying, and I agree that my situation here is somewhat more complicated that it should be.....the more complicated it is the more difficult it becomes to make speculation decisions that are to one's advantage.

I think you are completely right regarding silver & gold....the $ is the deciding factor. But do you have the figures on the % of the world's Pt that is traded in Japan? I would guess that it is significant, and if that is the case then since a large number of Japanese traders buy & sell in yen, the yen charts should have some meaning.

Regarding the trend, did Pt not already take out $340 yesterday?? Not a good sign......historically this is the absolute bottom....just don't like the possible implications of a "new historical low".....

Any opinion on where the consolidation in silver will stop??

I personally "hope" that silver will hold $5.........
