depends on if it's a late night or hourly (OT, etc) run... i had a lot of lemme buy ya a beer when i drove a cab... cab clients aren't exactly the brightest.... (i want to stop and drink a beer between clients... not) i have been handed an extra hunnert above the tip occasionally.... i don't discuss stocks unless someone else brings it up.. i don't discuss much except what is pertinent... unless the client is semi-intelligent... i have had enough of the "where's the hookers" type of Q&A... taxi
