(NewsTraders) -- Micron Technology Inc. (MU) affiliate John R. Simplot registered to sell 1.8 million shares of common stock on October 1 with a market value of about $55.8 million, according to a Form 144 released Monday by the SEC.

He owned 13,137,700 shares as of August 28, 1997, according to the most recent Proxy filed with the SEC.
