>>And as for his spin on his own poll, I thought I showed that he didn't have the numbers to support the dramatic statements he was making. He showed that the President's support had eroded 8% in six months. IMO, that is not dramatic nor historic.

Actually, you didn't. Look at the gap. 18 points gone. And Field implies that it occurred in a couple weeks, not the preceding months:

''Since mid-September, when Starr made his
report public and all the details were revealed,'' in
both videotapes and transcript, Clinton has steadily
suffered a marked decline in public support that
suggests no sign of reversal, said Field. "

Field has a sterling reputation and has seen this before. Remember, Field has the poll's internals and sees the movement. He also knows that Clinton has no reservoir of good will as @70% already believe that he possesses neither the honesty or integrity to serve as President. More and more people realize that he can no longer lead so they will come to the conclusion he cannot serve.

<<I don't dispute his poll; I disagree with Field's speculative predictions of the future>>

Fair enough - I misunderstood your post. I need to slow down - drink less coffee, yeah, that's it - it's the coffee.
