I guess we can see who does a better job of timing the market, eh? Yes, I was tempted to lock in profits last week. No, I didn't do it.
Then, in a state of some anxiety, I considered getting out at 49 1/2 today. I'm glad I decided to wait. For now, I'm glad.

I'm obviously bad at timing posts, too. Here I was shooting my mouth off about how Citrix was the star of my portfolio just this morning.

While I agree that many high-fliers will be brought to earth, I think comparing YHOO to CTXS isn't a good way to make a case. Yahoo has no real earnings, Citrix has.

But it's very possible that earnings multiples the market is willing to support will be drastically reduced, particularly over the next month or two.

One thing I try to remember is that I don't know everything. I'm getting the idea that there are some very smart people around here. I'll be reading their words with interest.
