Joe G:
GE actually makes much better industrial diamonds than can be found in Mother Earth. Good synthetic industrial diamonds are engineered to frequently shed edges which keeps their cutting ability at a high level of efficiency. Naturally occurring industrial diamonds merely wear their edges down. Prices for naturally occurring industrial diamonds have dropped dramatically since the introduction of synthetic diamonds. Hard to believe, but they've been around for decades. (the original process was first demoed in 1958 if memory serves me). Only the "gem quality " diamonds fetch a decent price. Never have figured out why the gals are so enamoured of them. Keeps the money circulating. (g)

Best, Larry

Hi Joseph G, I can make pieces of paper that say "this sapphire is natural" easier than they can grow sapphires.
