Maxwell, Re:Toshiba, GTW, and Packard Bell will all use AMD chips. Dell is an exception. Dell is Intel's Prom Queen.

Dell is making the big bucks so they probably don't mind you calling them Prom Queen.

The fact is that there is no single reason for the OEM just to use a single source for CPU supplier.

Oh yeah, there are plenty of reasons. Consolidating on one chip cuts costs associated with development, support, testing etc. It also makes the decision for the consumer easier as there is less overlap of product selection. A company can also gain with better support from Intel. Dell is an example of this strategy.
