First MOT, now AMD

Looks like AMD smoked the estimates for the quarter, posting a surprise profit vs. an expected loss. Guess PC sales haven't been too shabby after all. Hard to see how MSFT can disappoint on the earnings front if PC sales are strong.

Elsewhere, it looks like SUNW's ambitions for Java chips are cooling (see news.com for details) and you'll soon be able to by a MSFT-branded cordless phone for your PC too (see news.com )

While the market cringes it looks like fundamentals are improving rapidly from their already strong position.
