It's LithTech engine is a legit "dark horse" candidate in the 3D engine wars. Can't wait to try out its multiplayer abilities.

Thanks for the info about EB Eric, I'll go back to day to get the coupon. You might want to be careful mentioning that you donated some cash to nVidea, there are some people here that will stalk you and kill you till your dead.

Everybodies offering a rebate on this thing. I suspect this is for two reasons:
1. It allows all companies in the chain to show significant revenue in the current quarter. (3DFX for example will get at minimum $30 per card profit!) BUT they pay out the rebates in the next quarter. The significant revenues generated at $30/card are shown on the books for the current qtr. The next qtr the rebates payments are taken out and the price of the card usually drops to the after rebate level ($120.) So in effect they have to use all the revenues generated in the fourth qtr to pay the rebates.
2. The second reason to do the rebate thing is that some people won't get around to mailing in the rebate so they keep the money.

What does this mean to the fourth (christmans) qtr?
