BEL simply released the news because they finally started to deploy actual ADSL service. Good PR after months (years)of delays.

All I am saying is that BEL has had an RFP for ADSL on the street for the last couple months. This is well known in the vendor community. BEL is deploying CAP based WSTL CPE to start with, then switching to DMT in 1999. I'm not saying who will win or lose, just that there is an RFP out. I'm making this statement because a msg was posted earlier indicating PAIR did not win the BEL business because they were not announced in the PR. The fact is, no one knows who the winner(s) will be except for BEL. The PR that released yesterday was for the first phase of deployment with CAP based modems.
