richard, your point is valid, many brinkerites did reallocate some of their assets much closer to 9300 than the current values. the pes are a joke, imho. manipulating operating earnings is a profession. pass on employee costs through to shareholders, consistent "one time" charges, write downs for in process r&d equal to 20-40 times of total r&d expenditures. the list goes on.

i know a guy who works for a disk drive mftr. he has 3k shares at $40. the stock was $56 or so when he was hired. it is about $10 now. he wants cash, not stock. so do his buddies. cash is king now.

the options game doesn't work except in the manic phase of bull markets. it appears this one may be over.
