Hi David:

It wasn't really a call at all. I was just watching the trail left by the greedy pigs on the Street. The pigs seem to be trading big money between large stocks and treasuries. It has been happening to varying degrees since about May or June. The typical volume of DJI stocks is about 12 percent a day of the NYSE volume. In tranquil times, the up and down averages will be around 12 percent also.

Yesterday, the average up DJI volume was 22 percent of NYSE volume--way out of line. It appeared that the pigs made their move. Based on the recent past, big stock rallies are accompanied by rises in rates as the money moves from treasuries. The opposite also occurs. Unfortunately, the decline in the dollar muddied the water to some extent. I do not play in the mud.

None of this is exact. There are only patterns to guess at. I have not been through my work for the night, but if this is reversed in the next two days, we could see a significant decline in my opinion.

Hi David:

Yesterday the focus was still on DJI stocks. They represented an inordinate amount of the NYSE up volume. Their strength yesterday was obvious. With the temporary focus on buying stocks and the continued drop in the dollar, the treasuries should take a beating today.

This has been fundamentals week. Clinton started that last Friday. The West Germans will be in Washington on this Friday. They and Clinton could scare some bears.
