America Online (NYSE:AOL - news) was cut $5 1/2 to $97 1/2 after announcing the resignation of its chief technical executive, Michael Connors, who is credited with building the company's network during six years of rapid subscriber growth -- from about 100,000 in 1992 to more than 13 million members today.
