sounds good. i agree that this field will make big winners out of small companies very fast. look at worldcom. the guy started out by buying a small motel and became interested in telephony. he bought out uunet and now mci and did it in a very small amount of time....a poor, drop-out and now worth many millions. so, i agree that many of these little companies will survive and some will thrive.

the main problem i have is that there is no real good info. on these companies....not just dgiv, but all of them. the fact that these companies can take public money and not have to reveal their financial health is really bothersome.

the biggest problem these companies will have is the competition they will face from the majors. the management consultants are telling them that they have 2 choices: 1) reduce prices and profit margins 2) lose your customers in the very price-sensitive residential phone service. AT&T in fact is now offering 5-cent service on weekends....after all, let's face it, telephone lines are telephone lines as as LD prices continue to fall, these small internet phone companies will have a more difficult time. also, because DGIVs major thrust is into foreign markets- it makes it even more risky as we head into our first global crisis.

there is no level of education or experience that can save someone from everything....but, it would be difficult (impossible) to prove a stock price for DGIV or other non-reporting BB stocks. i can prove that AOL can be worth much more based on past trends, but i can do no analysis on companies that do not divulge what investors need to make wise decisions.
