Judy, AMD "technically shows strength rather then weakness. If it breaks through 21, I would say it is a mistake to short it. If you decide you really want to be short for the last phase of the Sep/Oct minimelt, chose a weak stock like DS, or AMD if it run into resistance at 20.75, but not when it break through 21. Right now the SOX shows relative strength in the high techs, and the chips are stronger then the equip companies (as it should be at a through in the business). If we are going to get a "clean up" some networkers that broke down recently or even internet stocks would be better candidates then the chips maker, IMHO.

<<Resistance is at 21-22 and I am looking to short it. >> Judy, you crack me up. I was thinking the same thing. AMD has been a most reliable short, along with Micron and Motorola. Let me know what you come up with.
