PaineWebber started coverage of programmable logic chip maker Xilinx Inc. (Nasdaq:XLNX - news) with a "buy" rating.

knowing Pain Webber they are not just stupid to put a buy recommendation on a stock a few days before the company is to report its earnings!

Scott, I have no concrete evidence that XLNX is a playing with there numbers.With some companies it's very hard to detect. All I see now is deteriorating fundamentals..MP
