That Red Herring thing is still preaching the old dogma .. .

amazing how the financial community continues to ignore the obvious.

In my business (printing), technological equipment reduces itself in price by half every 1-2 years. I'm not talking desktop computers, I'm talking big cash outlays that take 5 years to amortize - that can make or break a business.

This is putting a giant profit squeeze on companies that time their purchases just a little wrong. When the economy is hot you can get away with mistakes, a slowdown will punish even small sins.
