'Tis not the trader but the trend.....

<<many of the trades you do seem to require real-time access and sitting all-day in front of a screen>> I called 'internet' and tech call options yesterday before the close. Unfortunately, the market is extremely volatile and 'trends' don't last long enough for short term holds. Stocks up today are down tomorrow and in some cases in the next few hours (i.e. YHOO, CSCO, DELL). Since I do have the time and tools to trade this way. I am also a full-time day/swing trader. I find it very profitable. Also I like sleeping at night and not wondering if a VRTS/LGTO number will be done on my stock.

You DO NOT have to 'trade' all of them. But there are enough trades that I call in the morning that last long enough. The internet calls and MSFT, CSCO, I called yesterday before the close. Even the internet and tech puts were good from about 11:30 a.m. until about 3:00. I call "ALERTS" when I see change of trend and I called one as early as 11:00 a.m..

The 'defensive' stocks like CLX, CCE, PEP, were good going on their second day and were on the watch list yesterday evening. More than that I can't do.. Other threads do offer longer term trades, but I did notice they 'escape' their trades after the close or bear their losses.

Subscribers to Market Gems have a daily watch list, and weekly newsletter and have these stocks already in their databases so they have done their DD. marketgems.com
