highsa pfill. sory bout evrything....naught! in phact, as yous were wolking mike's dog with ROH no doubt, did you tell mr. mike that i did in fact stait the product was cool, but that there was no fricking way anybody has any confidenance in his ability to pull off a tool in jbridge after his java office fiasco last year. 2: now that we all know that you have mike's ear, (amougst other things possibly?), let me add that I in fact did hold out "for the drama", because I honestly believed in what he was selling 2 years ago. He was selling a dream to beat MS, based on a good product I used at the time. (Still use Draw). I liked it, knew it had bugs, believed in java, thought an alternative was a good way to sell it, and knew MS had no competitive solution for Draw on the boards. What does Mike do? Try an unproven technology for his Office version, and then HYPE IT before it is even tested. What an idiot. He blew his, and the companies credibility. You do not hype anything that is unproven. It showed that even HE KNEW the company needed BS to keep the stock price high. At that point, he figures it all out, and knows Java Office will not work, continues to hype it and netwinder, and jbridge, and all sorts of little projects, all the while knowing he should sell his shares and bail....which he does. THAT IS WHAT THIS IS ABOUT. Tell Mike that. Tell him his jbridge is cool, but call a company to help market it that has credibility. I couldn't give a rats ass about mike having dinner with Royalty. I think it is very nice that he donated money to charity....why not. It is our money. In fact, I like that. The only thing is, I should get the tax receipt...not him. Yes I am in the corner office. Yes I held on too long. Yes I was ribbed by co-workers and associates all over NA who know me. Yes I liked the "alternative" marketing idea, but from a management perspective, Mike's team is doubting him, and the product is not a saviour in any way. That does not mean Corel doesn't have a future. It means it is not a future like Corel wished years ago. Corel can be profitable as a small software company. Period. It will however, as I stated before, probably be bought out for the Linux version of WP, and the name recognition...and for the jbridge tool. Don't count your chickens thought. No shareholder will make money on this deal. The stock MAY STILL be overpriced. Numbers can be made to do anything for a few quarters. If I am wrong, I'll walk mike's dog with you...and clean one of his cars.
