I apologize for the "Paul" Mellon Scaife thing, an unfortunate and unintentional smear on the famous philanthropist and patron of the arts Paul Mellon. Richard Mellon Scaife seems to be another kind of "character" entirely. And character matters, or that's what people say. You think Richard Mellon Scaife is ever going to apologize for the "Who killed Vince Foster" thing? Lee Atwater apologized for Willie Horton, you know. Even if it was a matter involving your favored kind of "facts" and "substance", he felt a little guilty about it somehow.
