I am looking at IBM's 19 inch flat screen monitors, the price isn't that more that the 17 inch models. Check them out, I thought the price was great!

On-line computer shopping at it's best!

My monitor weighs 85 pounds, and emits allot of heat, The flat panel monitors also only draw 1/5th the power as the CRT monitors.

OT monitors

CNET has some good articles on monitors.

computers.com

Not sure if that link will work. That is the one I cut and pasted from my browser. If it doesn't, go to CNET.COM and click on HARDWARE near the bottom of the page an you will see MONITORS listed.

If you buy a LCD make sure you get one that uses a digital connection and not a analog. ATI makes a card with a digital port. There are several new 18 inch LCD's out now with a list price of about 3k.
