Psst...Dr. Jeff...Have you noticed what's happening to your other favorite stocks? Do you think your post may represent an extreme in sentiment?

Dude, if you are so sure why don't you keep it to yourself and collect enough shares to make YOU rich before pounding the table. But then maybe you already have collected your shares.

I already have a substantial position in YHOO. I picked up more shares just before the close today at 124 1/8. I'm considering buying puts just before the close on Wednesday. What's your advice?

Thanks,

surfinSteve

Dr. Jeff...You're my kind of optimist...And you ARE right too, although you could be a little early in your time frames, but hey, I'm with you....for the long run, all the way....I see a 600 dollar per share WITHIN 5 years, split adjusted, of course.

Regards, George

Dear Dr. Jeff: re My calculations show they should earn north of .22 cents based on everyone's "hits."<<

Hits grew, yet they still only came in with 15 &cent. So what is your explanation for the faulty conclusion? Perhaps "hits" don't mean so much. Perhaps banner advertising rates are going downnnnn. Perhaps this is because advertisers are concluding that they don't get the bang for the buck that they hoped. Perhaps there is too much competition for advertising dollars, both on the web and off. I noticed that Yahoo itself advertises on TV. If those people are watching TV at the hour they see the ad, are they going to jump on the computer just to check out Yahoo's pages? My guess is that anyone who even semi-regularly accesses the internet already knows about Yahoo's site. It's a good site, but so are a lot of other sites. I personally have *never* clicked on a banner ad on Yahoo's site. Yahoo's ads on TV may help increase a non-computer owner's curiosity and desire to own a computer, but the results to Yahoo's bottom line even in the event of subsequent computer purchase is going to be nill.
