This is a classic example of why NCR has been so successful. Somehow (?) Lucent seems to have decoupled from this path of brilliant execution. Too bad because I had so expected them to fail, I completely miss one of the great investments of the last 2 years.

All hope is not dashed. I got a recent confidential document from Lucent detailing plans to build an 8 track tape player into a cell phone so you could play hold music.
