David....could be my brain cells smoking......but it smells so familar......like a cross between stale Budweiser on John Daly's breath and burning butt hair on a bear............might be a big juicy C wave dripping with freshly roasted bear grease

HI David, Remembering your post a while back concerning companies paying their executives with stock. Just ran across this on CA and thought it appalling

Computer Associates International designs, develops,
markets, licenses and supports a wide range of integrated
computer software products. For the three months ended
6/30/98, revenues rose 18% to $1.05B. Net loss totalled
$481M, vs. an income of $156M. Revenues reflect growth in
the client/server business. Loss reflects a one time $1.07B
charge associated with the issuance of 20.25 million shares
under the 1995 Key Employee Stock Ownership Plan.

Jeez, $1.07B charge is pretty heavy IMHO. Just happens to = their 18% sales increase for the quarter. Looks like they gave away the whole store.
