I had the same question about a week or so ago.

QP uses theoretical data as opposed to print data. This is only true on the Dow 30. Theoretical lows are different from print in that theoretical uses the absolute low for each stock in the index and adds them together. It does not heed to time of the low. Same as the theoretical highs.
