Our day is at hand. I only wish I had loaded up on some practically-free October puts. I honestly believe that the Bertlesman/Barnes & Noble combination is going to devestate Amazon's stock price over the next several days. William said a few days ago that he can see $60, I tend to agree with him.

It has been a long a difficult road, and at times very financially painful, but for those who managed to hang in there with short shares or puts, tomorrow is going to be a wonderful day. Now everyone knows that competition is going to make Amazon's pathetic margins even more pathetic. Does anyone think Bertlesman is going to give Amazon a better discount on their books than they give their new partner, Barnes and Noble? Even in bizzaro world I think most people will realize Amazon is screwed.

And like I said, Jeff Vinik is a very smart guy, even though his market practices may be borderline illegal, he knows when to leave a party before the cops show up for noise complaints. If he decides to exit tomorrow, this stock could very well drop faster than Bre-X.

I just went out and bought a bottle of Dom, and plan to pop it open at tomorrow's close. I am absolutely SALIVATING!!

Payback's a bitch!

And even though I tend to disagree with William, I have to hand it to him for getting out just in time. Now if only we could get him to go short. ;)
