Joel,

Yeah I think you are right in terms of Quantum's reasoning. I had thought initially they were reducing the price to be more competitive with TnT but some new SLI push by 3DFX would probably give them more justifcation. Regarding them being overpriced at $479, well since I paid $599 I try not to think about it. You can basically tell who has run out of PCI slots and who hasn't.
