AMD has received a number of MPEG patents recently. However, I couldn't find them on the IBM server using the suggested search terms. They're there -- I just just got tired of trying the different search fields and combinations.

Yes, this is the old Hans/Solo project, originally partnered with WebTV before Microsoft bought them out.

I always thought pay-per-view and DVD in the same settop was a conflict of interest.

Encoder knowledge worth..

What's developed at C-Cube: $50 M
What's developed at DiviCom: $75 M

It is obviously better to be in the DiviCom encoder group than Cube's. (C3 has to give stuff away to customers).
