Heard a report tonight on the radio about Japan. As if to confirm that the country is in austerity mode, the reporter mentioned that the quality of Tokyo trash pickings has gone down in the last year or two. Used to be people would buy a new TV and just throw out the old one in good working order. Used to be able to find perfectly good working 19" TV's on the trash heap. Now they're conserving. Good for them.

You didn't hear them wanting our help when their trade barriers kept out U.S. autos and other products.

let it carry a few more rounds. we still get our big selloff after the temporary effect of this great firehouse funding<G>.

at any rate, the reforms are going to make this a very different animal altogether.
