Michelle,

You give your Gen-X roots away with your
statement. The Summer of '67 was the
"Summer of Love". Shoulda been there. It
was far better than a Pearl Jam concert.
The Summer of '68 is best known for:

1) The Robert F. Kennedy assination.

2) Watts Riots.

3) Altamont (where biker security guards
beat and kill concert attendees)

4) The Chicago Democratic National Convention
(where cops beat the anti-war protestors)

American Society has never really recovered
from these gross unjust acts. I think that
in many ways, we are still suffering from the
fallout of the Summer of '68. Even this "death
battle between Clinton and Starr" has much of
its roots in this social scar.

ps BTW, Michelle, I really enjoy your tenacity.
I think you must be a really interesting person
to stand with so much conviction in your beliefs.
