With Asia very strong and Europe moderately strong CBS must put in a good showing today. If instead it continues to fall then we can expect Beancounter's predictions to come true. PS. My technicals are still not showing any sign of turning around yet.

Hi Dan, There is a very interesting piece on Yahoo Entertainement news re the strength of ad sales and the effect on the media shares. OOPS, Hollywood beat me to it.
It would not surprise me if the IPO of INF was put off until this
correction in the market has run its course. I am still waiting for my first look at HDTV! There are some concerns with the high debt ratio of some of the media shares and it is possible that some of the more extented companies may have to sell off some properties - it would be my opinion that CBS maybe able to take advantage of the situation as they are on pretty solid ground.
ON A SIDE NOTE : Because of the diversity of people who read these threads , from regular guys trying to make a living - all the way to
the opposite end of the spectrum - I have a real problem with people
who try to scare less informed investors with statements that are not based in any facts. Someone who is short a stock will try to post
negative facts hoping to scare some shareholders into selling - over on the Yahoo boards it is full of it. I do not belive that this is fair and I would like to keep those posts off this thread. I want opposing opinions and to get the reasons for those opinions as the other guy may be a lot smarter that you. I learn a lot on these threads and I would like to keep them as a source of good information
and the exchange of opinions which can be questioned for their basis in fact without the writer getting his or her knickers in a knot.
John
PS. Looks like it could be another rough day in the markets - it will be interestint to see how CBS goes - either with the market or against it!
