HELLO EVERYBODY! Boy have I been busy. Mostly counting my losses, but I digress. Let me catch up as quickly as possible: 1) Sun, get a CREAF labs Sound Blaster Live for your sound card...it has recv'd the best reviews I have ever seen for any sound product. 2) WTF is with the drivers on Banshee? D3D works fine, but Glide doesn't like it when a previous version is installed? So our biggest problem is COMPATIBILITY WITH OURSELVES? WTF? WTF?WTF? We need a "Glide Switcher"????? My god, this is just ridiculous! 3) Michael Linov, I am glad you finally got your Banshee running in NT...but my god, you are an engineer! What about the rest of the gang? If it takes you more than 20 minutes to figure out, the average joe is already on the way back to the store. I hope this problem is limited to the Quantum boards...Quantum is the most problematic board? The irony... 4)DIMD is a bunch of losers...Go to their homepage...No V2... Go to their graphics page...no V2 (ok, if you look on the side you can see a link, but it ain't much). They should be kissing our boots for the profits we made them. Their second quarter would have been total crap without TDFX. And now they shun us on their site, and evidently don't stock much of the product any more. 5) Image of V2 cards on TDFX page. Monkey is wierd, but that's ok. The board probably carries the 3Dfx label on the board because they don't want to push any other company names. But then again, they could have left it blank...nah, they couldn't be making cards without a leak... With that, I will take a breather. Just for the record, some of my wonderful investments: CD (disaster), CREAF (OY!! Disaster), CKFR- somebody help me with this one- what the hell happened today? One quick true story...I bought FORE last Wed when it hit 15...good deal, I thought. Closed at 16 5/8. I really AM smart! Next morning the FIRST words I hear out of Maria B's mouth "Fore Preanounces..." opens at 12 and goes down from there. It is my newest record. Down 35% after holding for 1 day. Loving life, and glad to be back, Jefflins
