The bible predicts that people will live to be as "trees" in the 1000 year reign of Christ. Yes , my children have asked what my vision is of the future. As you, I see turmoil and devastation; but that period will be cut short. My hope is in what comes after when Christ himself will return to earth to set up His earthly government. When the masses will be taught to live as Christ has intended all along. After the 1000 year reign the beast will be let loose for a short season, once again. I feel this will occur because God will give mankind one last chance to make a choice between good and evil. Call me far out if you wish but there is a ring of truth in what I say. I am not saying that for example angels are preprogrammed to follow God or that we in heaven will be preprogrammed taking the choice away from us to follow God. I am saying that we are under constant bombardment here on earth , call it "spam, junk mail, unwanted solicitation", but without the constant harassment of the enemy we will naturally be in the will of God ,as we were created; not that the choice will be taken away from us , only the lies that we are told on a daily basis. So I do see a glorious future for the earth; so much so that I follow the leading of the Lord with passion to the point of wanting to be a part of it. In Christ.gregor
