<< Once again, I have to quibble>> Quibbling is good if it is used to clarify a point, which is exactly what you were doing. I was actually referring to the people supporting Clinton, not the people opposing impeachment. As was noted earlier, the polls show that people opposing impeachment are fairly evenly split between supporters of Bill, and people that think impeachment would do too much damage to the country to justify it (under the current circumstances). I generally agree with the rest of your post. The Black Caucus has been a remarkably strong, consistent supporter of Clinton, regardless of what he may or may not have done, as has the NOW and various abortion-rights groups. The environmental groups also have continued to voice their support. As I have posted elsewhere, the remark regarding human rights groups was a misplaced low blow, and should not have been included, and for that I apologize. What I was specifically referring to regarding them was their complete silence regarding the President's apparent bombing of civilians in the Sudanese factory, and his lack of action to prevent the slaughter in Kosovo. Had they said anything, I probably would have been angry at them for butting in <g>.
