Low rates have been the stronghold of the bullish analysts. They continually cite them when faced with economic gloom and doom. Low rates haven't saved Japan, and I'm afraid that as tehy go down and the dollar continues to weaken, foreign investors will flee the long bond to avoid the double whammy on their bond income.

As for what will happen when they rise again, teh market may be so far down it may not matter.

Asia is on fire. Japan up over 4 percent on teh economic reform news. Get ready to short more.
