freeus...The more experience I get as an investor the more I am convinced that to buy AND hold an outstanding company....(and that's the key, not just a good company but an outstanding company)....is where the profits are made, even in a Bear Market...Bear Markets have never lasted as long as Bull Markets and I would rather be in a good company during a time like this....MSFT fell 34% in the Bear of the early 90's...That would be like about a current price of 80 from MSFT's recent high...At the end of that last Bear what did MSFT do?...I believe around a 500% increase until now.......So, my point is when you're in a Bear Market not much of anything goes up, but if you have a good company--IT WILL!!! eventually...60 and 62 will seem like a distant memory when this Bear is over, and DELL is once again leading the next Bull Market.

Regards, George

Oh, and one more thing....Once you've made the decision to be an investor in stocks, don't try to time your ins and outs...Be satisfied with where you got in, because you could just screw yourself up always jumping in and out...Check out "The Bear Book", a new book by the last name of Randolph I think...It's a good analysis of Bear Markets, but still advises against timing the market...Gives references to many who have tried with most having failed.
