Just for the record and not to be contrary ... I happen to like Ascend. They are doing good things and regardless of Lucent, I think it is a great company. All the networkers are getting killed right now ... all of technology is suffering. If Ascend goes down to $30 I will buy some. Just a personal opinion and I also think it is a possible takeover by Lucent although, probably, not the most affordable.

On another note, AMD came out with good earnings ... actually great earnings ... after the bell. Motorola couldn't sustain the tech sector today, but maybe AMD can. Let's hope we see some of our battered stocks going back up. All those DELL holders have gotten killed, as have I in my Lucent stock. So, do we think Intel will go up since a semi conductor stock has beaten the street ... or will it go down, because AMD has taken some market share from them?
