Jim,

Intel I am sure was figuring on AMD being late with the 400Mhz.

I am sure they also expected a Jerry announcement and then a 8-12 week delay before shipments actually began.

AMD changed their style with the 350.

They are shipping 400-s now and announcing in a few weeks.

Intel doesn't have much time to respond to get new speed grades out, designed in and manufactured for Q4.

This may also explain the disparity between the announced 3.8M shipped versus what they actually manufactured in Q3. Jerry said no 400's were shipped in Q3 but they had shipped already this Quarter.

They must have held them over into this quarter to make sure a good Q4.

I like their style. Ship and then talk about it.

Regards,

Kash
