Johnathan: Actually that isn't quite true. AMD because it has little R&D will always be cheaper at the outset than INTC but will lose out as more units per given model are produced because their yields and fab tech. rots compared to INTC. No one appreciates the foundry expertise of INTCand the yields they consistently manage. there lies the difference between a company and a great company. INTC will be making chips long after AMD has gone the way of the dodo bird.

And will AMD be able to migrate further into corporate sales? If you are satisfied with AMD at home and you want to economize at the office why wouldn't you look at AMD.
