JP Morgan Recommending PFE>>

It only makes sense because PFE was looking cheaper compared to SGP and LLY on relative valuation basis alone as of yesterday's closing.
98 P/E 99 P/E 00 P/E 01 P/E
PFE 41.6 34.4 28.7 25.0
SGP 41.5 36.0 31.7 28.1
LLY 40.8 34.4 31.3 28.2

besides, rumors about earnings are totally false. inspite of viagra slowdown PFE has lot of leeway to hit the 0.56 number. if at all, we should be looking for a penny better. also $5B stock buyback in pipeline along with CELEBRA and JAPAN approval for VIAGRA in 1Q of 99.

all in all, good call JP Morgan.

-PFE long.
