Maybe you're right:

On CNBS, when Dell was at 68, some guy said Dell's a great buy.

Now on CNBS, some analysts say we have to retest the lows again.

Give me a break.

Venkie and thread,___Anybody have an idea why Dell appears weaker this morning than the other tech stocks?? Some selling going on???
In spite of TR and David Stern's bearish pronouncements on Dell, I am staying firmly LONG on Dell...I don't mind being called a "long term investor"...I never was much good at short term trading anyway!!!

Venkie, if Dell disappoints in November, we can use out shares for wallpaper. IMO, the analysts will be looking for very positive, and I mean positive, forward looking statements. If Dell doesn't offer positive statements, the stock will tank, no matter how good the earnings report maybe. We are now in an environment where the markets are looking at 1999 and beyond.

I'm still long, I'm not on margin, and I'm not worried.

Don't get stampeded out of a good position just because others are starting to get scared. If you are nervous, reevaluate what your goals are for this investment, take another look at the fundamentals, and if they still match up then don't worry about it. Don't sell just because the market price is going down. Let the traders sweat the short term moves.

Cheers.
