it was probably a sell, the bid and ask could have moved around it while the MMs executed it. the selloff immediately afterwards was just the "result" of that trade finally going through

e.b. A nice little trick to confuse tape watchers when a stock is being unloaded is to delay reporting of the trade by many seconds or even a few minutes. Another thing is this is a daq stock, so there are inter-MM trades going on to square positions. Can make it confusing on a loony stock like this.
