I'm in for the long run too, Mark. However to generalize & say that you should buy a quality stock at whatever the price is (even though it may still go down) because it will go up substantially in 3 years doesn't make sense to me.

I could see it that if one didn't want to worry about keeping an eye on the ups & downs in the market one could buy in at a relatively low price and in 3 years show a profit - but my thinking is that if you think the value of a stock may still decrease, then hold off until there are signs of increase (not just flattening). I guess it comes down to: "buy low, sell high."

But then again, I don't use a Mac......................:-)
