GVTucker, >>>Going forward, however, AMD does have a competitive product, and as long as you are running word processors and not 3 dimensional CAD, works just fine for most every business user. <<<

Going forward, if everything remains static, you may have a point. However, it is very difficult to compete against someone whose R&D budget is greater than your gross revenues.

Try competing with anyone or anything where your opponent can afford the best facilities, equipment, the finest trainers and coaches, and a first class support system - and when you can't. It ain't easy - if it is possible at all.

In this case, when AMD is only a clone - all they can do is catch up and hope the other guy slows up a bit and stands still for a while.

It ain't easy being a clone.
