Mylex Names Eric Herzog Vice President of Marketing

FREMONT, CALIF. (Oct. 7) BUSINESS WIRE -Oct. 7, 1998--Mylex Corp.,
(Nasdaq:MYLX) the world's leading vendor of RAID controllers in the
non-captive systems marketplace, today promoted Eric Herzog, 40, to
vice president of marketing.

Prior to the promotion, Herzog served as Mylex's senior director of
market development. Herzog's promotion recognizes his success at
directing numerous Mylex marketing initiatives during the last year.

In his new position, Herzog will oversee Mylex's worldwide product
management, product marketing, channel marketing, marketing
communications and technical publication efforts. Herzog will report to Ron von Trapp, Mylex vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.

impact on Mylex," said Ron von Trapp. "With Eric's assistance, Mylex is now more customer-driven than ever. Going forward, Eric will be

Eric Herzog brings nearly 15 years of high-profile experience in the

director of market development, Herzog held vice president of marketing positions at Streamlogic, Big Software and FWB.

Herzog has also held senior sales and marketing positions at Mass
Microsystems, Storage Dimensions and Everex. Herzog holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in History from the University of California, Davis. Herzog and his family reside in Pleasanton, Calif. Mylex Offers Industry's Broadest Line of RAID Controllers....

I thought they may hire someone from HP inorder to regain that business. Perhaps the preliminary sales numbers are ok as Herzog would have not been promoted if they came in short.
