LBOR tends to issue these monthly updates. Seems like desperation to me, why can't they wait until the 10Q like other (reputable) companies? I haven't even seen it yet, but I tend to dismiss them as focusing solely on revenues, and there is a long way down teh ledger before it translates to bottom line. I'm short too.

What seems strange to me is reporting (forecasting) on a monthly basis. I have never seen this before and perhaps that is what you meant by sounding fishy. They did it last month as well. I did not follow stock before that so maybe this is something they always do.

Actually, Bob, it is indeed something they've always done.

I'm not sure that it is truly unique - the major retailers release their sales figures on a monthly basis, too. As a matter of fact, they (i.e., the retail chains) tend to do so on the same day, which allows CNBC and other financial news media to report on them.
